Terms of Service

Terms of Service for Crossroad, a Christian dating website and mobile app for adults aged 18 and over.

Last updated: 11 May 2026.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service apply to the Crossroad website and mobile application (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About Crossroad

Crossroad is a Christian dating service for adults seeking serious, faith-based connections. We provide tools for creating a profile, discovering other users, communicating, reporting concerns, and managing your account.

3. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Crossroad. Users under 18 are not allowed on the Service. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or delete it.

4. Registration and account security

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must not create fake accounts, impersonate another person, sell or transfer your account, or use automated tools to register or interact with the Service.

5. Community rules

Users must treat others with respect and use the Service lawfully. You must not:

  • harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, deceive, or discriminate against other users;
  • post obscene, hateful, misleading, violent, or illegal content;
  • send spam, scams, phishing messages, commercial promotions, or malware;
  • upload photos or content that you do not have the right to use;
  • request money, gifts, payments, or financial information from other users in a deceptive way;
  • attempt to bypass moderation, safety checks, rate limits, or security measures.

6. Child safety

Crossroad has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). You must not upload, request, share, promote, or discuss any content or behaviour that exploits, endangers, sexualises, or targets children. Our full standards are available on the Child Safety Standards page.

7. User content and licence

You keep ownership of photos, profile text, messages, and other content you provide. You give Crossroad a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, process, moderate, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our safety standards.

8. Moderation and enforcement

Profiles, photos, posts, messages, reports, and other activity may be reviewed manually or automatically. We may reject content, limit features, suspend accounts, delete accounts, preserve relevant information where legally required, or report serious safety issues to appropriate authorities.

9. Reporting and blocking

You can report users, photos, messages, suspicious behaviour, or safety concerns in the app or through our contact form. You can also block users where the feature is available. Reporting does not guarantee a specific outcome, but we review reports to protect the community.

10. Paid features, subscriptions, and virtual items

Some features may be free, paid, promotional, or temporarily unavailable. If paid features, subscriptions, gifts, coins, or other virtual items are offered, the price and terms will be shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by external providers such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another payment provider. We do not store payment card numbers ourselves. Virtual items have no cash value unless the law requires otherwise.

11. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds and cancellation rights depend on the payment method, platform rules, and applicable consumer law. Purchases made through Apple or Google are normally handled under their store policies. We may offer goodwill credits or adjustments at our discretion where appropriate.

12. Account deletion

You may request account deletion through the Service. When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymise personal data unless we need to keep limited information for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, or security reasons. More details are provided in our Privacy Policy.

13. No guarantee of matches or outcomes

We do not guarantee that you will find a match, relationship, marriage, or any specific result. You are responsible for your own decisions, conversations, meetings, and interactions with other users.

14. Safety when meeting people

Use caution when communicating or meeting someone. Meet in public places, tell a trusted person where you are going, do not send money to people you meet online, and report suspicious behaviour.

15. Intellectual property

The Crossroad name, logo, design, software, and original content belong to Crossroad or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, or distribute the Service except as allowed by law or with written permission.

16. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, remove, or change features at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal, or business reasons. We may also update these Terms. The latest version will be posted on this page.

17. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Crossroad is not responsible for user conduct, lost opportunities, indirect losses, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws give you mandatory rights in another place.

19. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please use our contact form.
